| JCS ANNUAL DINNER 2009 Jewish Community Services honored Alice Tucker as 2009 Volunteer of The Year at The Hale Koa Hotel on November 15, 2009. Alice has served on the Boards of JCS, Counseling and Spiritual Care Center, Rotary Club, Manoa Valley Theatre, and Temple Emanu-El. Guest Speaker was Retired Hawaii Supreme Court Associate Justice, Hon. Steven Levinson. |

| JCS ANNUAL DINNER 2010 Jewish Community Services celebrated the Life of our 2010 Volunteer of the Year Ruth Aloni z”l (1949-2010) at The Hale Koa Hotel on November 14, 2010 Ruth lost her battle to cancer on October 3, 2010. Her last years were not about dying, but about the way she lived. Ruth Aloni Served on Temple Emanu-El’s first library committee • Taught in the School of Jewish Studies • Was active in the Temple Sisterhood and Jewish Film Festival • Served on the Temple Family Promise Program Committee and chaired its Meal Providers Program • Was active in the Jewish Federation of Hawaii and Hadassah • Worked with the American Heart Association, Junior Diabetes Foundation, and the American Cancer Society • Created Hands on Healing Support Group • Served on the Building Industry Association Board and the Construction Specification Institute Board, serving as president from 1996-97 • Chaired the Renaissance Remodeling Competition • Was a docent at the Contemporary Museum. Guest Performance was by Shari Lynn Award Winning Singer and Actor |
