Kona Beth Shalom invites you to our monthly Shabbat service, this Saturday, February 28, 10:30AM,
Dr. Barry Blum leads the service, joined by Rabbi Shari Joy Berman
who will read from this week’s parashah, Tetzaveh / תְּצַוֶּה (“you shall command”), Sh’mot/Exodus 27:20-30:10 in which the Israelites are instructed to prepare for sacred rituals in the mishkan (tabernacle) and to clothe Aaron and his sons in elaborate priestly outfits.
With Purim just days away, Barry will present a special pre-holiday reading of the Megillah of Esther …with grogger noisemakers on hand to drown out the name of you-know-who. Costumes welcome.
After the service, stay for our Kiddush & Kibbitz potluck. If you can, please bring a dish to share (but no pork or shellfish) …and there will homemade hamantaschen! Join us for magic lessons after.
Please, if able, consider a donation of food or check for the Food Basket. We collect at every Shabbat Services.
