In this week's parashah, Eikev – עֵקֶב ("Obey") – D'varim/Deuteronomy 7:12 – 11:25, Moses continues his final address to the Children Of Israel. He reminds them of the manna that gave them nourishment in the 40 years, and tells them that if they obey God, they will not be harmed by the peoples dwelling across the Jordan River. Also, Moses reviews various violations of God's laws, among them, the incident with the "golden calf," and says the Promised Land will overflow with milk and honey if the people obey and teach their children God's commandments.
