In Person and on Zoom

The KBS March Shabbat service will be this Saturday, March 15, and will start a half-hour earlier than usual: 10AM Hawai`i time, at New Thought Center Hawai`i: 81-6587 Mamalahoa Hwy in Kealakekua.

Dr. Barry Blum leads the service, with Rabbi Shari Joy Berman joining in to read from the week's Parashah, Ki Tisa - כִּי תִשָּׂא (“When You Elevate”).  Since it will also be the day after Purim ("Shushan Purim" in some locations), we'll have some special holiday fun. Dr. Blum will read from the Megillah, re-telling the story of Achashveros (the king who loved to party), the clever and beautiful Queen Esther, her wise uncle Mordechai and the evil prime minister who plotted to destroy the Jews of ancient Persia
Grogger noisemakers will be available, for kids (of all ages) to drown out his name and we'll sing some Purim songs before we nosh on homemade Hamantashen. We will NOT have our usual Pot Luck after this service.
