Mimi Lind, LCSW, Executive Director, Clinician
Mimi Lind is a kama’aina and grew up at Temple Emanu El, but like so many high school graduates, she went off to college (Brandeis University) and finally returned after many years. She is a licensed psychotherapist, social worker, and has specialties in working with domestic violence, substance abuse and trauma across all stages of the life cycle. Chris Gerson, Executive Assistant
Many of you will already know Chris Gerson as the President of OJO, but her passion for supporting the Jewish community and the mission of JCS couldn’t keep her away from taking the role of Executive Assistant. Chris brings with her many years of project management, leadership and technology skills that will greatly benefit JCS. She and her wife Jodie (of JCS fame) are the proud parents of 4 dogs! Hannah Pearson, Community Liason
Hannah Pearson joins the JCS team as the Community Liaison. She is excited to continue building bridges and relationships between JCS, Jewish organizations across the islands, and the Jewish community more broadly. Hannah is also a PhD student at The University of Hawai'i at Manoa studying social psychology. Hannah is also a member of Temple E, Hillel, and Jewy Hui. Sarah Osofsky, Case Manager
Sarah is an undergraduate Social Work major at UH Manoa and excited to do her internship with us. She has been part of the Jewish community here and in California, and is JCS’s first case management intern.
Harvey Rackmil, Financial Consultant
Harvey Gordon, Technology Consultant
Harvey Gordon was born in England and moved to Sydney Australia in his twenties. He has always been fascinated by technology and over the years has used that interest in many business opportunities. Harvey spent many years in the photo industry owning and running photographic labs and survived through the massive change from film to digital. His knowledge of computers and digital applications assisted in the transition and onward business. During that time, he was very active in industry associations and local chambers of commerce.
He came to Hawaii in 2013 to marry and make a new life with his wife Jill a Hawaii resident for over 25 years. Both Harvey and Jill were active members of Oahu Jewish Ohana where Harvey was treasurer for two years and he has also served as a JCS-Hawaii board member from 2018-2021.
Harvey, is now retired, living in San Diego, California and assists JCS with website development and other technology related matters.
